Housing chief set to take over

Magna Housing’s new chief executive, Selina White, takes over from Graham Colls in July.

Mr Colls is retiring after 19 years as chief executive. Magna has 8,500 homes in Dorset and Somerset and is the largest social housing provider in the area.

Mrs White moves from her previous role as group finance director at Knightstone Housing Association.

She spent the first 20 years of her career in accountancy and finance director roles before moving through various senior finance roles with Orbit Group Limited and BNP Paribas.

She said: “I feel incredibly privileged to be taking on the role of chief executive at Magna and can’t wait to start in the job.

“It is an organisation which is performing well and which genuinely strives to achieve its purpose of helping people meet their housing needs.  From what I have seen it has a strong board and the right staff to do this and I am really looking forward to working with all of them.”

Adam Peat, chairman of Magna Housing’s board, said: “I am delighted that we have made such a strong appointment to the position of chief executive.

“I would like to take this opportunity to say a personal thank you to Graham Colls for all he has done for Magna in his time as chief executive.  The Magna he leaves behind is in great shape and we face the future with confidence.”
