Cllr Barry Irvine has been selected as the new Mayor of Bridport.
Cllr Irvine, who lives in Bothenhampton, represents Bridport South ward and is a Liberal Democrat.
His deputy will be Cllr Martin Ray and the leader of the council is Sarah Williams.
The appointments were agreed by the council at its annual meeting on 17 May.
