Find your Perfect Match at Bridport Museum

Bridport Museum is hosting a volunteering open day on Wednesday 6 March from 10am-6pm. Anyone is invited to drop in at any time to talk to current volunteers about the different opportunities that are available, from welcoming visitors to making rope, helping with school visits or assisting in caring for the collections.

Visitor Services Manager Nikki Brotherton: ‘we have built a really strong volunteer community here at Bridport Museum, with our team contributing an astonishing 4000 hours a year to the Museum. It’s not just welcoming visitors front of house, we need lots of assistance behind the scenes too, from helping care for the collections to marketing and publicity. We can offer lots of different flexible opportunities if you’re retired, working or a parent or carer.’

Newbie volunteer Cheryl Gaydon-Hilton is quite new to Bridport itself and adds: ‘Bridport Museum has become a welcome anchor and provider of new skills and lovely people’

Anyone who would like to find out more is invited to drop in, as well as enjoying some tea and cake!
